"The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: That a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists."

A Good Tomato Stake in the Casa

I sacrificed a beautiful, mostly straight, very long tomato stake for the sake of supporting the floors of the Casa.  It held up a tomato plant very nicely for me this year!  Once I find the swiss army knife I mean to whittle the bark off and get the right look.  Rather than using a dowel I wanted the knots and imperfections of the actual 'log'.
It's great to be working on both the Casa and the Burrow again!  :)

Ruby's Girl said...

Oh I so love this picture of Casa Cate!! It looks so wonderful and beautiful and lovely and what other adjectives can I use!!! I can hardly wait to see this masterpiece in person girl. This weekend I am making paperclay tiles. No time till Christmas I am sure to work on my little place but the tiles will be ready when I am at the very least. I just love your floors and the tiles on the wall are to die for.
Inspiring once again Cate!!
Happy fall!
