"The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: That a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists."

Bricks and Window Frames

Yesterday I began putting wood into window frames and started building those useful corner shelves that eliminate wasted space in the Burrow. I like the above shot; the way it shows the staircase landing above the kitchen.

Here again are the walls gone - but the paperclay bricking is done for the first level. I hope to paint them today. Only five more levels to go! Thankfully every other floor is much less in height! :)
Oh my goodness this is fun!

Cate, between you and Elizabeth, I am feeling a great mixture between guilt (which I am channeling into my project) and inspiration, LOL!

I can't wait to see the burrow!

PS: thanks for the info on the tiles:) - Kim:)

I look forward to seeing your project too Kim! :D We're doing Elizabeth's electronic workshop this month, yes? We could all bring our WIP's too - assuming they are transportable by then! :D

it's looking so wonderful! Isn't it great when you feel so excited about a project you can hardly wait to work on it? I got your email with your addy- I'll probably mail it this friday if that is okay because I have a bunch of things I'm finishing up for a post office trip at the end of the week. It's not much, but hopefully you can use some of the bits I've found for you :)

The floor just keeps me coming back for another look- it turned out so wonderful!!!

That's just fantastic Kim! I sure do appreciate it! I was having a quick look at the hardware store the other day and nothing there is small enough that I could find! :) I know your bits will come in handy!
