"The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: That a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists."

Molly gets a garden bench!

At our mini meeting this past Sunday we made kits cut for us by a fellow group member; Rosemary. She generously offered to make us kits in either 1 inch scale, 1/2 inch scale or 1/4 inch scale! I was delighted to make a half inch one for Molly to sit on when surveying her garden in a rare moment of taking her ease! :)
Can't you just imagine the garden gnomes peeking out of the plants in the planters with their beady little eyes out of their potatoey-faces?

I put together everything I've collected for the Burrow so far...but was really dismayed at how small a collection it is! Part of the problem is I started planning my Burrow in 1/12 scale but switched to half scale because a 3 ft tall house is much easier to live with than a 6 ft tall house. The blanket that I knitted for Ron's bedroom may still be pressed into service as a carpet though...it is terribly orange! And the sweaters that are a bit large for half scale may still work too. Those I didn't knit! I'm still working on my first full size sweater! :D

Cia's MAKE for me arrived today!

The writing on the framed parchment says:

Merlin's Museum of Wizard Artifacts and Oddities
In this room:
Fairy Dust
Dragon's Blood
Ancient Map of Atlantis
Ancient Armillary Diagram
Water from the Fountain of Youth
Elixir of Life
Leprechaun's Lucky Hat

Please refrain from using magic on the
premises as it could awaken certain artifacts
that are better left sleeping. Thank you.

The Management

I have to tell you how fine the craftsmanship is in this piece! Each paint finish is so beautifully done! Really beautiful work Cia! Thank you SO much for making this for me! :D

Holy Exploding Apples Batman!

I don't know how to explain what I'm showing to you! This morning this is what the apples in the fruit bowl on my table looked like! I'm guessing that they should've been in the fridge...? Never seen an apple do this though?!? We're eating apple crumble tonight! ;)

Slightly Soggy Garlic Festival

It's a testament to the quality of the company and spirit of the Hills Garlic Festival that we had a good time despite being rained on a large portion of the trip! We had interludes in between wind and rain though - and we took a couple of photos then!

Walking back from the Farmers Market Friday morning:
The view up the Highway before the crowds arrive!
Our first dinner at our gorgeous campsite!

Photos taken of the garlic animiguri - they and the hats sold quite well in the damp and cold! :)
