"The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: That a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists." - Gilbert Keith Chesterton

My MAKE for Kim - 1/4 scale Honeydukes
Kim opened this a few days ago, so I can share it with you all! I've never worked so small before and found it a real challenge - but so much fun! Unfortunately it didn't make the trip in one piece. And Kim, I mean it! Please let me know if I can send you any parts, materials, printies...whatever it takes to make it look like it did in these photos! :)
Cate- it's first on my list of projects for tomorrow-I'll let you know if I need help for sure. It's so tiny-I really hope I don't muck it up because it is so amazing. I can't believe how tiny and perfect everything is! I really love it so much Cate :) I'm so glad I signed up for the MAKE!
Cate... This is amazing! I love how creative all of the different candies are. How did you ever make the "glass canisters" for the candies??? That is so neat!
Thank you everyone for your kindness! The glass canisters are a really fun mini trick! At your health food store look for empty gell-caps! In quarter scale the parts made massive candy jars...in 12th scale they would be a nice protective cover for a figurine on a mantel or something. Cool eh? :)
Cate, Thanks for answering! I always love trying to figure out how things are made, it is like a game or a puzzle for me. Especially in quater inch since you have to improvise almost everything. Gell-caps.. that is brilliant! I love it...:)
